To support and encourage sustainable development in tourism, Local Eyes Travel Guides not only publishes information, but also supports exemplary organisations. Each year, a part of our net profit is donated to a good cause. Below you will find links to the web sites of three organisations that deserve our attention. You can vote for the project that should be suported.

The money will be evenly divided, according to the received amount of votes in the polls. You can also nominate any organizations or initiatives of which you think that should be supported. Send your ideas to: charity@localeyesguides.com.

Monkey Bay Wildlife Sanctuary:
Monkey Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is an environmental education center that offers experiential learning programs and training opportunities while serving as a model of conservation land stewardship.

Punta Mona:
Punta Mona (Monkey Point) is a 30-acre organic farm and educational retreat center dedicated to bringing about environmental consciousness by creating an example of sustainable living through permaculture design methods including eco-technology, organic farming, and a sense of community.

Sendero de Chile (The Chilean Trail):
Twelve environmental projects will promote ecotourism along the ''Sendero de Chile'', the Chilean Trail, which at 8,000 kilometers will be one of the longest pathways in the world for hiking or tours on bicycle or horseback.
